Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Identify anatomic echocardiographic features of congenital heart disease and surgical procedures used to repair/palliate these defects
- Interpret 2-D echo/Doppler hemodynamics in the setting of congenital heart disease
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology of common congenital cardiac conditions and surgical procedures used to correct them
- Recognize limitations of echocardiography
- Utilize up-to-date treatment strategies for congenital heart patients
- Manage pre-natal and pregnant patients based on the echocardiographic exams
- Integrate clinical management and echocardiography in CHD
- Use multimodality imaging tests more effectively
