Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Apply transesophageal and stress (both exercise and pharmacologic) echocardiography for use in clinical practice of cardiology.
- Use echocardiographic and Doppler methods to assess hemodynamics and cardiac function.
- Utilize echocardiographic information in clinical decision making.
- Apply the technique of CRT to the care of patients with CHF.
- Justify stress testing combined with the use of cardiac ultrasound.
- Utilize echocardiography to determine which patients should be referred for surgery versus medical therapy for the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
