Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Interpret EKG and EP tracings
- Evaluate the patient with adult congenital heart disease
- Interpret echocardiographic images
- Analyze hemodynamic catheterization traces
- Apply basic cardiovascular physiology to patient care
- Diagnose and treat the patient with acute coronary symptoms
- Evaluate the patient with heart failure
Pre-Course Session - Echo Focus Objectives
At the conclusion of this session, the participants should be able to:
- Utilize Echo and Doppler information for management of patients with various cardiovascular conditions.
- Identify new echocardiographic modalities for clinical use such as tissue Doppler and strain imaging.
- Recognize common and unusual cardiovascular conditions confidently by echocardiography.
