Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

• Assess the prevalence and societal impact of resistant hypertension
• Recognize the role of the renal sympathetic nervous system in blood pressure control
• Review the preclinical data that support the efficacy of renal artery denervation therapy
• Evaluate the strength of the evidence-base that support renal sympathetic denervation therapy in humans
• Identify future applications of renal sympathetic denervation
