This version of the Applied Quality Essentials is targeted to physicians boarded with the American Board of Anesthesiology. Mayo Clinic Applied Quality Essentials is a learning and self-assessment activity and aims to evaluate the physician’s knowledge in quality improvement concepts and methods. There are no prerequisites for this course. Mayo Clinic Applied Quality Essentials is offered as an online 25-question pre-test and post-test. Each version contains 25 questions but will test to the same curriculum and can be taken as open book tests. Participants are asked to take the Pre-Test as a first step. Participants are able to access resources and references on-line to complete the Post-test self-assessment. The self-assessments are open book exam format. A score of at least 80% is required on the Post-test to receive credit. Participants will be able to take the Post-test twice to achieve 80% correct. If they do not score at least 80%, credit will not be awarded. Responses for each question, along with the correct responses and relevant references, are provided to the participant following the exam.
