    Making Sense of Cilia — Cilia extend from epithelial cells that line the bile ducts and kidney tubules. Researching the significance of these cellular antennas is a collaborative effort between two interdisciplinary Mayo labs and is leading to exciting advances in kidney and liver cyst disease. Investigations encompass the full spectrum of research, including an ongoing clinical trial that may circle the science back to where it is most appreciated—at the bedside.
