System Requirements

Analyze is a highly memory- and processor-intensive application. In general, the more processing power and RAM that exists on the workstation, the better the performance of Analyze. We do not observe substantial performance differences between Unix and Windows versions of Analyze on workstations that have similar hardware specifications.

Analyze 6.0 requires the following minimum system configurations:

Windows Systems

Intel Pentium or compatible processor 200MHz or better; a network card; a CD ROM Drive; 64 MB Ram; 24/32-Bit Graphics capability; at least 50MB Disk Space

Analyze is compatible with:

  • Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000, Me or XP

UNIX Systems

200MHz or better processor; a network card; a CD ROM Drive; 64 MB Ram; 24/32-Bit Graphics capability; at least 50MB Disk Space

Analyze 6.0 is compatible with:

  • Sun Microsystems workstations running Solaris 2.6+ (32-bit) or 2.7+ (64-bit)
  • SGI workstations running IRIX 6.5.2+ (32-bit and 64-bit)

Linux Systems

  • AMD64 Linux systems running Red Hat Enterprise 2.9.5+
  • Intel based PC systems running Linux (Red Hat 7.2+ or compatible)
  • Itanium Linux (64-bit) systems running Red Hat 7.2+ or compatible
  • Hardware requirements are the same as for Windows systems.

Macintosh Systems

  • Mac OS X systems running OS X 10.3

Hardware requirements are the same as for Windows systems.

While Analyze will run adequately on systems that have the minimum specification...we find that Analyze runs practically every processing task extremely well on a system with Dual 2GHz Processors and 1GB RAM.
