PRE-ALUMNI PROGRAMMING

Orientation

Mayo School of Health Sciences Alumni Association is pleased to sponsor lunch for students attending orientation as they begin their program.

Fall and/or Spring Student Activities
These events are social activities that bring students together for fun in an informal setting. Pumpkin carving, pizza and ice cream, games and prizes are all part of the gathering. Speakers from the Healthy Living Center and Mayo’s Leisure and Lifestyles Activities Program address students to encourage participation in the extracurricular activities that Mayo Clinic offers. The Association joins with the Mayo School of Health Sciences to provide refreshments and prizes.

All-School Convocation
This annual gathering of students and faculty from all MSHS programs is an inspirational and motivating experience. The shared convocation brings together the entire school to:

  • Celebrate the successes of the school, its students and faculty
  • Recognize outstanding faculty in the areas of education and service
  • Reaffirm the school’s mission and look to the future
  • Enjoy the camaraderie and reinforce school spirit

The MSHSAA provides refreshments for those attending.

Graduation
Each MSHS program has its own graduation, as the programs vary in length. Each event is a time of great pride and joy as another group of Mayo students complete their training, accept the best wishes of faculty, family and friends, and enter their professions. Each student receives a Certificate of Membership from the Alumni Association.
