The historic Mitchell Student Center, once the city's library, serves as the center of campus life for Mayo medical students.

Mayo Medical School is in the heart of downtown Rochester, Minn., a vibrant, friendly city that provides a highly livable environment for more than 26,000 Mayo Clinic staff and students.

The MMS campus activity is centered around the Mitchell Student Center across the street from the Mayo and Gonda buildings. These interconnected buildings, together with Rochester Methodist Hospital, comprise the core of Mayo’s clinical practice facilities in downtown Rochester.

The Great Hall within Mitchell Student Center affords a comfortable, quiet study environment. Mayo students attend classes and conduct laboratory exercises in the adjacent Guggenheim Building for Research and Education, the Stabile Building and the Siebens Medical Education Building. Within the Stabile Building is the new, state-of-the-art anatomy laboratory.

Saint Marys Hospital and Rochester Methodist Hospital are integral to the Mayo campus, providing essential inpatient learning experiences for medical students.
