Barrett at Mayo Program Overview
Together, Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University offer two different programs for Barrett Honors College. One program is longitudinal and takes place at Mayo Clinic Arizona. The other is an intense two-week summer program and takes place at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Each location offers a distinct and separate opportunity to foster your interest and gain hands-on experience in the practice of medicine.
In Arizona
Students who are accepted to the Mayo Clinic Barrett Honors College Premedical Scholars Program can shadow physicians at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, engage with a physician mentor, conduct research projects, participate in community health-related programs, and gain assistance in preparing a strong medical school application. Students can participate in a variety of program activities over the course of two to three years. Read more

Students who are accepted to the Mayo Clinic Barrett Honors College Scholars in Rochester will experience a two-week intensive program in Rochester that includes shadowing physicians, talking with medical students, touring this Mayo Clinic campus’ world-class facilities, and participating in lectures, case studies and group discussions.
